Birmaharajpur College, Birmaharajpur (Dist. Subarnapur) was started functioning in its initial years in Birmaharajpur High School, established in 1981 and the degree courses came into existence from 1983 with help of the financial contribution of various panchayats. It is one of the premier institutes established to impart & provide in the field of higher education to the deserving candidates and proves to be a milestone on the path of progress. The college is affiliated to the Sambalpur University, Sambalpur and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) under Act, 1956. It is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B" Grade (CGPA Score 2.36 on a 4 Point Scale in 1st Cycle) on 31st December 2009. It is a co-educational Institute that provides a regular course and plays a pioneering role in the field of higher education located in a rural part of a Birmaharajpur.
